Step 1: Put One Foot in Front of the Other

4.53 miles. According to my iPhone, I ran 4.53 miles. Okay, okay, it was more like jogging, but it was definitely faster than walking so that’s something. Granted, I made a couple pit stops to take photos, but can you blame me? I live in a very photogenic city.

Washington D.C. is a great running city, and tonight was one of those perfect nights, not too hot, not too cold, with the sun setting over the Lincoln Memorial. It was a great night to take pictures and a great night to kick-start my new campaign to get in shape. Here’s hoping it lasts more than one night.
